MEET DAVE

The Positive Change Our Community Needs

David Barberi, son of Joseph and Barb Barberi, was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  He attended Sacred Heart Academy for his grade school and high school years and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. He pursued his dream to attend law school and received his Juris Doctorate of Law from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California.

David always had a desire to serve others, and while attending law school, he earned Pro Bono Honors by committing hundreds of hours of free legal work in the San Diego Public Defenders office providing criminal defense to those who could not afford their own attorneys.

After graduating from law school, and passing the Michigan Bar, David married Taren Fabiano, and they located their home in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, to start their family. He joined his father at Barberi Law and continued his love of serving by getting involved in his community.

Some of his accomplishments include graduating from the Rollie Denison Leadership Institute, becoming President of the Young Professional Network, serving on the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, serving on the Board of Directors for Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum for two years, being elected by his peers as President of the Isabella County Bar Association and serving in that capacity for two years, joining the Mt. Pleasant Optimist Club, volunteering for the Sacred Heart Golf Outing and Mt. Pleasant Lion’s Club Chicken Barbecue.

David believes his greatest achievement in life has been becoming a father and nothing means more to him than ensuring the safety and well-being of his family.  He has that same passion for his community and wishes to target those who would pose a threat to all of us, especially our most vulnerable, our children and our senior citizens.  He wants to involve his entire prosecutorial staff in reaching out to our community to serve in programs that are on-going, as well as developing programs to help protect victims of crime. He looks forward to continuing to serve our county’s residents by becoming their next Prosecutor and hopes that you will support him and join him in this year’s campaign.
